Huelva’s beaches sit between the mouths of two major rivers in southern Spain, the Guadiana and the Guadalquivir. These two rivers mark the ends of a bright coast with unspoiled white-sand beaches. A true sun and sea paradise in Huelva for couples or families.
Main beaches in Huelva:
Isla Canela beaches: Next to the mouth of the rivers Guadiana and Carrera, these are some of the nicest beaches in Huelva: Isla Canela, Punta del Moral, Los Haraganes… Long stretches of white sand, a beautiful sea promenade and facilities that make these beaches perfect for a quiet day in the sun with your family.
Isla Cristina beaches: Very close to Isla Canela and surrounded by nature, are Isla Cristina’s beaches: Central and El Hoyo. In the middle of the wetland lies one of the most beautiful beaches in Huelva, Punta del Caimán in Isla de las Gaviotas, which can be accessed by way of a small suspension bridge.
Punta Umbría beaches: Very close to Huelva City, Punta Umbría beaches have moderate swell and fine sand: Nueva Umbría, El Portil, La Bota… Among them, El Rompido, on a tongue of sand that juts out into the sea, is really lovely.
Mazagón beaches: On the coastal area next to Doñana National Park, Mazagón beaches belong to the municipalities of Moguer and Palos de la Frontera. They are peaceful, with steep cliffs and strips of land dropping abruptly into the sea.
