Very nice but...

When we arrived the first day, we did not receive the room we booked. It was a very small room not adapted to our needs. The reception desk appologized saying that there was an overbooking and that we would be upgraded the day after in a room with a view on the 16th floor. The day after, we were moved but on the 6th floor and with no view. No discount received. Not nice to move of room when you have booked several weeks in advance a stay of 5 days. Without this, it would have been perfect.

Wonderful staff and NYC hotel location

Your manager & front desk staff was so thoughtful. We had stayed at this property when it was a Kimpton so I asked if they keep the 5:00 pm wine hour and they explained no but inquired into what wine we like and more about our NYC visit which was for our anniversary weekend. We dropped off the bags with the bell hop and returned 4 hours later to a room upgrade and a knock on the door soon after with a gift bottle of chilled wine. How's that for NICE!
