Spain
Spain is a unique country in which sun, nature, culture and gastronomy blend perfectly to offer one of the best holiday destinations in the world. In fact, it is the second most visited country on the planet - it attracts more than 80 million tourists annually - and is the third with the most landmarks declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Hence, staying at Iberostar Hotels & Resorts in Spain is bound to be a success.
To all of this we should add its unbeatable combination of dream beaches - including the Iberian Peninsula and the Canary and Balearic archipelago, with 7,900 km of coastline - and an exceptional climate. In fact, in the south of the country there are regions with 3,000 hours of light per year. The result? An authentic invitation to relax in the waters of the sea and the ocean.
The delicious Spanish cuisine deserves special attention, as it is considered one of the most prestigious at an international level. The extraordinary quality of local products, the leading role of the Mediterranean diet and the presence of some of the best European chefs make sitting at the table in Spain a unique sensory experience.
At Iberostar, each of its more than 35 hotels in Spain is perfectly adapted to the environment and to each type of traveller. These are custom designed accommodations, designed so that all visitors can get the most out of their destination: hotels on the beaches of Cádiz, luxury resorts on the Costa del Sol, historical establishments in Tenerife ... The variety of Iberostar resorts and hotels in Spain is as wide as the possibilities offered by each destination, both for you and your family.
Come and discover them!
Iberostar has fifteen hotels in the Balearic Islands, designed so that you do not miss out on anything on your holidays. Most of them are hotels in Majorca, the largest of the Spanish islands and the second most populated. Find out about its monumental legacy, the charm of its inland villages, such as Alcudia or Sóller; its magnificent coves and beaches and the irresistible Majorcan cuisine, with delicious dishes such as the tumbet, the llonguets or the indefectible ensaimada.
Undoubtedly, one of the great attractions of Majorca are its more than 300 coves and beaches, the Sierra de Tramuntana, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011, or natural wonders such as the Drach and Artà caves or the Natural Park of S'Albufera. However, Majorca is also a great destination for more urban travellers. It is enough to travel around the island capital, Palma de Mallorca, located a few kilometres from Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma. Once there, landmarks such as the cathedral, with the largest Gothic rose window in the world, the Almudaina palace or the Bellver castle justify a day of urban tourism in this vibrant city.
However, if what you want is to discover the Pityusic Islands, in the south of the Balearic Islands, Iberostar also gives you the chance to stay at a hotel in Ibiza that will make you fall in love. Staying at the Iberostar Selection Santa Eulalia Ibiza, a hotel for couples and adults only, you can get acquainted with the proverbial Ibizan calm, visit the handicraft markets of the island, visit spectacular sites from the Phoenician period or dance until dawn in the countless local nightclubs.
Nobody should be surprised that the Canaries receive the nickname of the Fortunate Islands. Besides a pleasant subtropical climate and volcanic landscapes that leave the visitor speechless, The Canary Islands are also a collage of hypnotic beaches, unique natural landscapes and festivals as popular as the Carnival of Tenerife.
This is just an appetizer of all the emotions that you can experience near Iberostar's hotels in Tenerife. Indeed, many others could be added, such as the possibility of climbing the crater of the Teide volcano, the third highest volcano in the world and the highest point in Spain; contemplate the Millenary Drago, a tree that is more than 800 years old and located in Icod de los Vinos, or the beach of Los Cristianos. Iberostar also has a luxury hotel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, built in a traditional style and equipped with everything you need for a perfect Canary Islands vacation.
In any case, Iberostar is also present in other islands of the Canary archipelago. For example, Iberostar’s hotels in Lanzarote give you the opportunity to get close to the Timanfaya National Park, the awe-inspiring Corona Volcano, the Cueva de los Verdes or Jameos del Agua, one of the masterpieces of the local artist César Manrique.
At the same time, the hotels in Fuerteventura are ideal for resting on the beaches of Corralejo and Morro Jable, strolling around the streets of Betancuria or contemplating the so-called ‘badlands’(malpaíses), landscapes chiseled by lava.
In peninsular Spain, Iberostar has created the best hotels in Andalusia for you, a region in which the sun, the beach, the cultural and natural heritage and gastronomy are always present.
One of its most requested tourist destinations is the Costa de Sol, on the coast of Malaga. At the hotels in Malaga you will find an excellent service provided by the Iberostar team, as well as numerous golf courses. All this without forgetting the vestiges of Roman times or the large leisure opportunities you will find in the select Puerto Banús if you decide to spend a vacation in Marbella.
And in the southwest of the country, very close to the border with Portugal, the Costa de Luz awaits with hotels in Cádiz that are ideal for traveling with children. In addition, the Doñana National Park is within walking distance, as well as some of the best beaches in Spain for surfing.
