Children and young people who go on holiday with their parents to one of the Iberostar Playa Paraíso hotels can now enjoy the more than 140 activities created exclusively for them in the new Star Camp program, an entertainment formula that combines entertainment and values, and that, in addition to allowing them to have a great time, allows them to discover their many talents.

Three age groups: Monkey, Dolphin, Eagle

The newly opened Star Camp in Playa Paraíso has a differentiated area according to the ages and needs of each group:

Monkey (ages 4-7)

In the Monkeys’ jungle, the youngest children will live the challenge of overcoming a circuit of obstacles, they will give free rein to their artist side creating crafts, play with sustainable toys made of wood and recycled plastic, build castles with pieces of giant Lego and sing and dance in the performance corner.

Dolphin (ages 8-12)

The youngsters will take to this area like a fish takes to water, discovering the plasticity of their bodies in the trampoline and jumping area, climbing a wall to reach the top, dancing and singing, discovering the world through dozens of books in the reading area and playing with sustainable toys made of recycled wood and plastic.

Eagle (age 13-17)

The older girls and boys have a hammock area just for them, with reading nests and a bar where they can enjoy different kinds of smoothies and natural juices. At the basketball nets, they can emulate their idols’ best shots, or practice ping-pong, air hockey, fusball and all kinds of (always active!) sports in videogames, in addition to moving to the rhythm of music on the dance floor and taking their first steps as a DJ.

The three groups also have common areas for outdoor games. Thus, the Monkeys will play the musical scale with their own hands in the space created for intuitive instruments, while the older kids release adrenaline by jumping on a zip line or overcoming the challenges set at the Bootcamp circuit and the air park.

This area has an orchard, where they will discover and become familiar with the sowing and care of vegetables with which they can later prepare healthy recipes in the kitchen, learning to eat deliciously and consciously along the way. The kitchen is also the place to regain strength with healthy snacks such as yogurts, sandwiches, juices and fruit cocktails.

Shared values

The Star Camp program promotes the values on which Iberostar is based and wants to share them with its youngest clients: fun as an attitude towards life, the value of diversity, encouraging healthy habits, respect for the environment and the development of technological awareness.

All these values are shared in a fun way, through activities that stimulate the children’s creativity and attention, as they will be the stars of video clips, develop scientific experiments and reproduce works of art on a large scale with their team. They will also discover the oceans during Ocean Day, a day entirely dedicated to learning about underwater life through awareness actions with our seas’ fauna and flora.

6,500 kg of recycled plastic

Iberostar is a company that is very environmentally-conscious, as evidenced by the Wave of Change movement, focused on the conservation of seas and oceans to contribute to the evolution of an increasingly responsible tourism.

An awareness that also applies to the Star Camp outdoor play area in Playa Paraíso, made from more than 6,500 kg of recycled plastic, equivalent to 32,500 5-liter containers that replace the wood of 65 trees.

Ties to remember

After all these days full of emotions, learning and sharing adventures with new friends, comes perhaps the least fun moment of them all: the end of the trip ... But the ties created in Star Camp continue after the holidays! In order to reinforce this important experience for the youngest guests, the last day of activities they are given a prize so that they can continue to feel part of this community and to ensure that the good memories live within them on their return home.
