Iberostar joins the ‘CEO for Diversity’ Alliance to lead and promote diversity and inclusion strategies

Promoted by the Adecco Foundation and the CEOE Foundation, the alliance is already made up of 79 CEOs who are committed to equality and inclusion in Spain

The Iberostar Group has over 100 hotels in 16 countries around the world, as well as 95 different nationalities; 40% of employees are women, and the same value applies to female hotel managers. With this in mind, here at the Iberostar Group we are working towards a responsible tourism model that, with a clear focus on quality, cares for people’s all-round well-being, all while trying to improve the health of the ecosystems that surround them. 

People have always been at the centre of our vision. We are on the lookout for talent and people who are capable of adapting and adjusting to a world that is rapidly changing. In our latest work environment survey, in which 84% of employees participated, we asked them about their views on how equality and diversity are handled. Around 85% of them said that they had positive views in terms of how the company was handling these topics. For us, this piece of information is highly significant, since it demonstrates that our actions and decisions relating to these matters are visible and are reaching people.

We’re moving further forwards in our commitment. The Iberostar Group has joined the ‘CEO for Diversity’ Alliance, led by the Adecco Foundation and the CEOE Foundation in Spain, whose mission is to unite the CEOs of the most prominent companies towards a common, innovative vision of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). It also makes everyone who supports it promotors and ambassadors in accelerating the development of strategies that contribute to excellence in business, competitiveness in terms of talent, and the reduction in inequality and exclusion in society.
