Important information regarding fraudulent communications on behalf of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts

In recent years, cybersecurity incidents and digital fraud attempts have increased significantly globally, also affecting the tourism sector. We inform you that we have recently detected the possible leak of booking contact data (first name, last name, email, stay dates and hotel). However, for your peace of mind, at no time have your personal identification number, banking details, or credit card information been affected.

 

As a result of this unauthorized access, we have detected fraudulent communications via email directed at some customers with bookings in our hotels, requesting payments to confirm their bookings.

 

We want to reassure you that Iberostar Hotels & Resorts maintains a firm commitment to the protection of the personal data of its customers and has specific policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with applicable data protection and cybersecurity regulations.

 

We are currently investigating the origin of these communications and taking the necessary measures to protect your information and comply with current regulations.

  • Be wary of urgent requests: If you receive messages via WhatsApp, SMS, or email requesting immediate payments or banking details, do not provide information or make payments.
