Iberostar HOTELS & RESORTS EXTENDS TONI NADAL PARTNERSHIP
Renowned Tennis Coach of Rafael Nadal will Continue to Sport Iberostar Cap on Courts for the Following Three Years
Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has taken one more step in its commitment to the sporting world by renewing the collaboration agreement with world famous tennis coach Toni Nadal. First announced in 2009, the agreement has brought great recognition for the brand on and off the tennis courts, leading Iberostar Hotels & Resorts to extend its contract with Toni through December 2014.
The collaboration between Toni Nadal and Iberostar found success in the now-famous Iberostar cap that Toni Nadal wears as part of the partnership agreement during high profile tournaments around the globe. The relationship between Iberostar Hotels & Resorts and Toni Nadal stems from common values and ties to his native Mallorca, Spain, where the leading Spanish hospitality chain is based.
Luis Herault, Managing Director of Marketing of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts stated "The relationship between Iberostar and Toni Nadal over these last years has been great, which is why renewing his contract was something quite natural. Toni Nadal is a brilliant Iberostar ambassador worldwide; he represents values of strength, passion and devotion to those with whom we fully identify."
This renewal of the collaboration agreement with Toni Nadal is part of the brand’s strategic plan to increase awareness among sporting platforms. Toni helps drive the influence of the brand within the sporting community noting that he is, "Proud to collaborate with Iberostar, a brand from my native land while a unique benchmark in the hotel sector worldwide. With Iberostar, we share the passion for sport as well as a total commitment in our different facets."
Continuing its branding efforts in the sport sector in Europe, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has been a sponsor at RCD Mallorca soccer stadium, since 2010, leading to its renaming as "Iberostar Estadio." The brand also supports the Iberostar Sailboat, captained by Javier Banderas and the Olympic medallist Luis Doreste, which has won the latest editions of the Queen's Cup held in Valencia, Spain and the King's Cup held in Palma of Mallorca, Spain. Adding to its sponsorship portfolio, the brand also sponsors and is the name of the lower categories of Tenerife Basketball Club and Iberostar Basket Mallorca in the Play Offs.
