"Overall comment: The criticisms I have are relative to the price we paid --- We paid nearly double to stay at the Iberostar compared to other all-inclusives we have visited. The service was not any better than what we have received elsewhere, and English was consistently a difficulty EXCEPT for the concierge and our butler. Follow up on service requests was inconsistent. Restaurant service was inconsistent and sometimes very poor. The restaurant reservation process is unnecessarily difficult and restricted - additionally there was confusion on the part of the restaurants on reservations - we were told one place and time but appeared to be booked at another place and time. The room was very nice and kept very clean, but we have had larger/better equipped and more ornate rooms at less expensive all-inclusives in Mexico. We saw very little of our butler except for the day we checked out when it was time to tip. To be fair, we did not have a great need for him. The food was absolutely wonderful and was by far the best we have had at any resort. The beverages were also excellent. No complaints about either one. Room service was excellent and always on time and as requested, and pleasantly delivered. Check in was easy. The on-site travel office was also very helpful. We were personally approached and asked for our opinions when we checked out. We appreciated that and have never been asked that at any other resorts."Rating: 7,0
The only one area we noted to be lower this year was the quality of some of the food, but based on our personal experience of rising food prices here in the States, we can understand why the Hotel must cut back where it can so as to keep a lid on pricing
"Our third stay at Iberostar Grand, Punta Cana, DR was indeed GRAND. We were already noted by the staff as 3-time guests as check-in was the quickest and warmest than any previous time. Several wait staff people remembered "Papa" & "Mama" from the year before. They are sincerely glad to see us return. The building and grounds are being well maintained and the pool/beach are also. The new Reservation Restaurant was excellent, requiring two visits. The steaks at the surf % turf ship restaurant are the best in all of the Caribbean. Service in all restaurants remains the best. Great resort - something missing from a nightlife perspective
"Very nice resort. As nice as or better than any other all-inclusive resort that we have visited. Food is excellent, especially the sit down "reservation" restaurants. Beach and pool bar service is also outstanding. If you are looking for significant nightlife, this is not your resort. It is definitely missing a grand or signature social bar for evening entertainment purposes."Rating: 8,0
