    "This is our third stay at the Iberostar Punta Cana. It was wonderful as usual. I would have rated it a 10 but the Travel Website we used to book our stay (Amoma.com) screwed up our reservations. We reserved a room at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro way back at the first of May. 36 hours before our flight was to leave Amoma notified us via email that they could not confirm our reservations at Iberostar Grand Bavaro and we would have to settle for the Iberostar Punta Cana instead. Granted there is nothing wrong with Iberostar Punta Cana; however, when you expect to be staying in the adults only, Signature Iberostar Resort in Bavaro/Punta Cana only to find out 5 months later that you really never had a reservation there it was very frustrating to say the least. Needless to say we were shocked, confused, and extremely upset that this occurred and I have every intention of venting my frustrations to Amoma.com. When we explained this to the hosts at Iberostar Punta Cana when we checked in they upgraded our room and gave us an Ocean Front / Pool View Suite. As always, Iberostar went above and beyond in trying to appease us even though they had zero responsibility for what happened. In conclusion, I can't say enough good things about the folks at Iberostar and I can't say enough negative things about Amoma.com. Iberostar ranks as a 10+ and Amoma.com rates as a 1 "

    "First I would like to give a BIG thanks to the whole staff of Iberostar Punta Cana for making our stay very memorable and enjoyable! Special thanks goes out to Elba (our chambermaid), Ignacio aka Chocolate (star friends) and Leo (bartender at the main lobby bar). We are a couple travelling to Punta Cana for the first time. I've stayed at an Iberostar chain before in Varadero, Cuba (Iberostar Laguna Azul) and decided to try it out this year in Punta Cana. So I mentioned this by directly writing to the hotel staff 4 weeks prior to my arrival and also asked for a king sized bed. They came back to me confirming that they had put the information about it in their system and that we will be receiving special attention in our room once we have arrived at our hotel. Check-In: Check- in was a breeze since we were the only couple that was dropped off at our resort during the time. We arrived at the resort around 7 pm and we can already tell by the look of the lobby that we made the right choice. The lobby scene was beautiful and people were just enjoying themselves at the bar lobby. Check-in literally only took 5 minutes which included a briefing in using the in-room safe ($2 per day), our key cards and towel cards and our room package which included the resort map and information. Also, the front desk staff mentioned to me that they have received my email with the request and they definitely honoured it! I was so glad that they remembered this! Room: Room was amazing, we didn't have beach view but at the same time we were just pleased to have a king size bed and they situated us in a way where we can either hit the beach or the pool. This was so convenient! I love the placement! 5139 is the room number and we were pleased with the room size. It basically overlooked that La Cana (steakhouse) restaurant. On the day of our anniversary I left a note for our chambermaid mentioning this. She did such a fantastic job decorating our room. She really did make our vacation a memorable one. Every single day our room was spotless! And on they day of our anniversary they left us a bottle of whine in the mini bar which was awesome! Drinks: There's plenty of drinks available for anyone's taste. My boyfriend and I favoured the Mojitos, Conga and Iberostar drink. We've tried a couple of drinks that were listed on the bar menu but I forgot what they are called. Even the non-alcoholic drinks are amazing. My boyfriend and I like to try pretty much everything and we were pleased with every drink served. Food: We did 3 a la cartes during our stay which was 'Maria Bonita' (mexican), 'La Cana' (steakhouse) and 'La Pagoda' (oriental). As previously visiting an Iberostar chain we've been invited to a special dinner for valued repeat guests at La Marimba. Which was amazing, so we in total got 4 a la cartes! Definitely book your a la carte when you get a chance. Preferably the day you arrive or the next day right in the morning. We heard from other people that they weren't able to book as it was completely booked. We got really lucky in booking ours and really had no problem at all, but the next day we heard people had a hard time booking them. The overall rating of the buffet is ok. It does get repetitive especially when you eat there for breakfast and lunch so it's nice to have the option of eating something different other than the buffet food. When we didn't have any reservations for the night we tried out the Star Rock Café which is a definite must to go and eat at. It's much better than the food they served at the buffet. I believe that the non-reservations people can go between the hours of 6 to 9. Pool & Beach: Pool and Beach was maintained on a daily basis. We are early risers so we were able to see this every morning. Every single person of the Iberostar staff was working hard to keep the pool clean and the seaweed out of the water. On the first day we weren't able to get any poolside chairs because people had already put their towels out in the morning to reserve their spot. So from the next morning onwards, we were doing the same thing. We laid out our towels at 7 am so that we had a spot in the poolside area. The beach we weren't too concerned about getting a spot because we found one every time we visited. Everytime we drank on the poolside and the beach there was always somebody to collect your empty glass. They were constantly looking after you no matter where you were. Overall: WE would DEFINITELY visit this resort again. The staff at the resorts is what makes it so enjoyable and worth visiting again and again. I would also recommend it to my family and friends!"
