Our guests reviewsIBEROSTAR Paraíso Del Mar

    Great time!

"Wonderful resort and staff. The buffets were good with a wide variety of food, and the dinner restaurants were way better than we expected. The Japanese and Brazilian restaurants were amazing! We traveled with a group of 20 for our wedding, and we were all taken care of very well. Anny & Alexia, our wedding coordinators were absolutely AMAZING in helping us plan our trip and ceremony, and went the extra mile to ensure that everything was perfect with our stay. We loved our time there, and would like to return someday on another visit."

    Very good. AMAZING DIVING!

"Stayed 1 week at Iberostar PAraiso Del Mar. It was a trip for my mom's 60th birthday. Between the 2 of us, we have visited over 15 AI resorts over the last 10 years in locations like DR, Cuba, Mexico and Venezuela. My mother likes the AI concept. I myself am not a fan of the gated community way of visiting a country. As far as AI resorts go, Iberostar PAraiso Del Mar was amazing. Food was awesome, plentiful and available at all times. The pool is gigantic, well maintained and has several bars to choose from. There is a busier activity pool and a quiet area. Good to have the choice. Paraiso beach is fabulous. Sections are very sandy, others have coral, it's good for snorkelers and people who like smooth beaches. Best of both worlds. We were in the down season so hotel was extremely quiet. Not much going on at night except for standard AI resort theater. Lobby bar was quiet an so was the disco and shopping mall bar. If you're looking to party at the hotel, this place is not for you. But real good for couples, quiet vacations, Large groups. Not much of a singles scene at this time of year. The grounds are lucious and lively. Lots of wildlife. Koatis, Flamingos, Swans, Lizards, Deers, Turtles, etc. Really nice. Whole place is spotlessly clean. Room was nice. Some may say a bit dated but it's really clean and everything worked fine. I was very impressed with the sustainable development initiatives (no plastic thowaway cups, you get a straw if you ask, no styrofoam, good re-use your towel policy). Good job Iberostar! The very best thing about this resort is their Dive Shop Dressel Divers. Dressel Divers Paraiso is one of the best Dive operations I've had the pleasure of diving with. They run a really safe operation, they are extremely well organised and accomodating. I was having my mother do her Discover Scuba for her 60th birthday and her Dive Instructor Vincent was outstanding, so reassuring and professional, he single handedly made her LOVE diving. I did the Cozumel day trip and our Divemaster Noe was amazing. He also treated my mom like a star, and gave us my best dive ever at Palancar Gardens. Noe has an amazing personality and he's a very experienced dive master on his way to becoming an instructor. Request him as your DM for any dive but especially Cozumel dives. You wont regret it. I also did the Cenote dive excusion and Julian was the most safety concious DM I've ever had and made my first cavern diving experience unforgettable! Thank you Dressel!"

    enjoyed our stay

"We visited the same hotel about 6 years ago. we loved it so much then, so we decided to go there on this trip again. We were a little disappointed this time: the food variety got less, the entertainment at nights were tremendous. love it. The service got a little lower too. They were cheating on the drinks: more sugar and ice then alcohol. Less variety of liquers then before. But overall enjoyed the stay."
