IBEROSTAR Cozumel
Our guests reviewsIBEROSTAR Cozumel
Fantastic!
"Our group had the pleasure of staying at the Iberostar in Cozumel. During our stay Hurricane Rina formed and headed for us. The staff at the resort informed us that they would be need to evacuate off the island. What we didn't realize at the time was that your staff would take care of us like family and make sure everone was taken care of personally. They arrainged our transport to the mainland to another beautiful Iberostar in Playa Carmen. There, the staff was as friendly and attentive as are the staff in Cozumel. We were so happy with how nice our vacation turned out even during the adversity of the weather, thanks to all at Iberostar. One employee in paticular that we want to give a special thanks to is a gentleman named Nestor Cifuetes for his attention to detail that was above and beyond expectations! When traveling in the future we will look for an Iberostar as a first choice for lodging.Sincerly,Larry Bergman & Gail Brown"

"Everyone treated us so nicely. We enjoyed getting to talk to some of the employees and learning more about them. The lobby was a nice place to gather and enjoy each others company. One small thing we noticed is that the lobby looked a little shabby. Maybe something as small as new lampshades would have been an improvement. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was very good and a very nice variety."

"The staff was amazing! Always friendly, polite, and entertaining. The food was good, the room was very nice. I was incredibly grateful that we had a room close to the pool/ beach. The Star friend team are an incredible group of people. They made our trip the fun experience it was. The only thing that I could say would have improved our experience was the food at the intercontinental restaurant was very salty and greasy. It would also have been nice if the jacuzzi was open later."

With the potential severity of the approaching hurricane, there should have been constant communication to each room on the status of the hurricane. When we evacuated, many people did not know about the hurricane. You need to be much more proactive on such serious happenings."

"This is our 5th time at this resort. We obviously love the place and the staff. Nicholas at the pool bar and Wilburt in the main dining are so wonderful, year after year!Wish the room A/C units worked better. Everything in the room is moist and can smell musty. We also live in a very humid area and don't have this issue. When Hurricane Rina was approaching, the hotel should have been more proactive in informing guests of storm and helping with solutions/preparations to move. Would be nice if resort offered returning guests 1st choice at premium room locations. We will return to the resort."

"We arrived at the Iberostar Cozumel on 10-22-11. During our stay Hurricane Rina came through and we had to leave the resort because it was not hurricane safe. We were moved to the Iberostar Quetzel on the mainland. I thought the staff handled the situation very professionally. Our safety was in their interest. The accommodations that we were moved to were more than expected and we were able to enjoy our vacation with as little interruption as possible. I applaud the Cozumel staff as they moved with us and did an excellent job keeping us informed as to the situation. When the storm had passed we had the choice to return to Cozumel or stay were we where. We choose to stay as the accommodations were excellent. Thanks for a great vacation."
