What to do and what to see in Chiclana
- Sancti Petri Island and Castle: The earliest inhabitants of Chiclana settled here. The place is linked to the myth of Hercules. One of the main temples dedicated to the deity Melqart was found here too. Visitors can reach the island only by sea, on a boat or kayak from the marina in Sancti Petri.
- Museums in Chiclana: Chiclana has more than one museum, all as amazing as the Marín Doll Museum, which contains an impressive collection of new and old dolls, and the Town Museum, which is dedicated to the bullfighter Francisco Montes Paquiro.
- Parish Church: A Neo-classical building dedicated to the local patron saint, Saint John the Baptist. It was built in 1773 but was completed only in 1814. The interior boasts two paintings from the school of Zurbarán.
- Chiclana Viewpoint: This is the name given to the Chapel of Santa Ana de Chiclana de la Frontera, a religious building in the Mozarabic style that crowns the town on the top of a hill. It is has a round floor plan and steps at the front, affording spectacular views of the Cádiz Bay.
