Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach Hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica Announced as Host Property and Location of Annual Racing Event
Iberostar Hotels & Resorts today announced its participation as host property for the fourth staging of the Jamaica Triathlon, taking place November 11-13, 2011. The full event will take place on the grounds of the upscale Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach & Spa Resort in Montego Bay and the surrounding Iberostar complex. The course will begin and end at the resort, which is situated on over ten lush acres. The main event will kick off with a 40k bike course and a fast, flat track, followed by a 10k run around the property, ending on the beach, where the final leg of the triathlon, a 1500m swim, will take place. Other events include a Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Duathlon and Kids Triathlon.
Situated on the beautiful white sandy beaches of Jamaica’s northern coast, the resort will offer athletes the ultimate in comfort and relaxation, as well as a beautiful backdrop for the energetic annual event. Guests at any of the three hotels located at the Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach complex enjoy spectacular sea views from almost every point in the hotel, as well as outstanding quality and service in a distinguished colonial design setting featuring several specialty restaurants, pools and endless activities.
