    "All good"

    I will recommend to my friends but I will tell them to do the evaluation review on the last day not 2 days before the end of the trip you can see how the staff will change specially the receptionist (rude and helpless)

    "Great value for your money."

    Great value for your money. The food variety, the staff's friendliness and eagerness to help, the services and facilities were all good. Thank you all we had a great time.

    "Not 5 star"

    This was a 5 star hotel before but not anymore. The rooms are dated & not fresh & comfortable, we had to change our room because it was smelly, the fan wasn't working, the shower head was broken hence we couldn't take a shower, the safe box wasn't working. Even in the new room, TV was almost non existent, etc. The Japanese restaurant wasn't japanese for sure, may cuban style japanese. The early morning breakfast was supposed to serve till 7am, by 6:30 almost all plates were empty.

    "Loved our stay at the Laguna Azul"

    A warm and welcoming hotel, great experience from start to finish in all areas. Honestly can't find any reason to fault anything! We have already been recommending it to people - lovely location right on the beach, quiet as no roads close by, easily accessible, lovely large rooms and bathrooms. Excellent staff, multiple and varied bars serving brand name spirits and well made cocktails. Thank you for a great holiday!

    "Lovely and relaxing"

    The hotel was great. The staff were amazing and the cleanliness and resort was great. The bathrooms always seemed to be shut down and when they were open the women’s had no toilet seats .... weird The pool activities were so fun and we loved them but there should be music all day long, not just when the games are going.

    "Is it just because we were in Cubea?"

    Please repaint the bathroom and rooms properly. As well as replace all stained/ripped chairs. Clearly this hotel needs a little renovation. It has the potential to be something great but you are lowering your guests experience by, what it seems to me to be: not caring.

    "The beach and the people were the best part of our stay. I would not go back to the same hotel."

    We were harassed by flies in the restaurant all the time. My child didn't want to eat there anymore because of the constant flies everywhere, it was disgusting. The rooms need maintenance. My first room had missing doors on the closet, furniture was worn, I just wanted to go back home. The staff were excellent, service with a smile all the time. The location is perfect, right by the beach and it is kept relatively clean. Some foods were not always available.

    Due to the climate and location of our hotel, unfortunately, at times, we do find a few flies and insects. Our staff, however, do their best to eliminate them and to keep the place hygienic.

    We are sorry that the room was not to your liking, however, we have new family rooms available at the hotel worth checking in your next booking.

    Thank you for your nice words concerning our team here, they work very hard on a daily basis to make sure our guests are well attended to at all times and they truly are an asset to our hotel.  We will relay your comments to all of them and we are sure they will be happy to know their efforts have been acknowledged.

    "Had a good time"

    I’m very happy about my trip. Hotel was nice! Beds were very uncomfortable but the A/C in the room was working well. Quiet room, not noisy. Beach was nice. If you don’t like the busy pool, that’s ok because there are 2 other pools where you can relax. The staff at the lobby bar is very friendly and efficient.

    "Smoking allowed in public area spoiled the experience for me"

    Only if smoking will be prohibited in public areas, otherwise l would not go or send any of my friends there to inhale that never-ending cigarette smoke!

    We sincerely apologize for your dissatisfaction concerning smoking because in our establishment our main goal is to gratify all of our visitors, although at times this is a demanding task due to different tastes and desires. Guests who wish to can smoke on the balcony of their room or outside and on open public areas. Unfortunately, it is not possible to control the behaviour of each guest in this respect. We maximize our cleaning efforts in areas where smoking has taken place and we deeply regret that this factor made your holiday less than perfect and we have passed your comments on to the correct department. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
