Great week at the Iberostar Playa Mita. I would recommend having the check in staff inform the guest checking in that their bed type request was not met. I requested a kind and was surprised when I walked in to two doubles/twins. I rated the bathroom so low due to the set up of the shower. Not having a shower door all the way across made for a very dangerous exit to the shower when both the bathroom floor and front entrance floor were absolutely flooded. Very dangerous.

We were there for fiesta night with our 6 year old grandson. As you know carnival games are very hard for adults even harder for children. The games are impossible for a 6 yr old to win. One game, the ball toss where the goal is to get 2 out of three thru the hole was very upsetting to my grandson. He got one out of three and tried again and got another one. In his mind he got his 2 that he needed. He was in tears and your employee knew this and he truely thought he won. Very upsetting

"Great resort neither too big nor too small."
This was our third trip to this Iberostar which, as you can tell, is one of our favorite vacation spots. Usually warm in late February, this time it was cool, mid to lower 70's with wind, rather than the 80's we have experienced in the past. The resort has not changed. The staff is warm and friendly and a number of them recognized us as being there before. The food is great and head chef Aldo is a very helpful person who assists us with dietary restrictions.

The rooms are not really suitable for a group of three. If the beds were queen size rather than double would be better. The pull out couch was a very poor design with the two mattresses sluding apart, the more traditional style with a single mattress works better. There is very little space to put your clothing. The design of the shower causes water to run all over the floor, we had to roll a bath towell as well as the mat on the edge of the shower. The large patio and quiet was appreciated

"The staff tried hard to eliminate the smell by changing all the curtains and thoroughly cleaning."
The staff make the holiday at this Hotel, they truly are amazing! They will do their best to solve any problem you may have. However, although we had a lovely room, the minute we opened the door there was an over powering smell of damp and mould! There was a large de-humidifier in the room (which my husband emptied twice daily of at least 10 litres of water each time! ) So obviously the managers were aware there was a problem. All our clothes smelled of damp and I developed a chest infection.

"Overall, a positive experience."
1. On the down side, we never got any "towel animals" like other patrons received. 2. In our room, the ridge on the shower floor needs to be bigger. Our bathroom floor got flooded every day. 3. The beach was red flagged all but one day. Not a swimming friendly beach. 4. Edgar was great!....wherever he was. 5. The gardeners did a fantastic job! 6. All the public bathrooms were so clean! 7. The coffee bar was great as well....maybe could have used more staff, as they were always busy.

Asked for late check out, had to wait in line were charged $10 not impressed were told they would not charge us & due to staff slow was 1 minute over due to staff.

Regarding your comments, we regret to know about your concern, however, we would like to point out that late check outs are always based on availability and they have an extra charge. In order to avoid waiting lines at the front desk and for the comfort of our guests, we kindly send a reminder to the room the day before your departure, as a notice to approach the front desk and clear the charges before 12 pm, which is the busiest time at the front desk.

Fitness staff like Victor and Eduardo and Ruby were outstanding! Loved the yoga, salsa and Aqua fitness! Rocia, the chef was outstanding. She even granted special requests and personalized our experience. The food was always fresh and delicious. The head chef was visible every day at every place ensuring the food was well presented and fresh. Your recreation group works hard. The coffee shop is outstanding! We loved Pacific Express and the Japanese restaurant. So much fun!!!
