Our primary reason for the stay was scuba diving so the resources at the resort were somewhat wasted on us since we were either diving eating or sleeping to get out 9 dives in. We really enjoyed the ECO park in the middle of the resort with the Flamingos, monkeys, Agouti, Tucans, etc., on the site.

"Excellent and relaxing"
It would be nice if the daytime entertainment were not as close to the quieter pools. When they moved to the beach, it was better. The theatre at night is also too close to some of the rooms for those who want to rest early. Otherwise, everything was just perfect. I really enjoyed my stay. The food was phenomenal. Please keep all the fresh vegan options! They were great. The jungle massage and hydrotherapy experiences were over the top. Yudy gave me an amazing massage.

"Nice place when you find it. All inclusive is expensive but great from families with teenagers"
Our main problem was finding Iberostar TUCAN on arrival in a hire car. Totally inadequate signs on main road 309 and lack of detailed directions on-line. We ended up travelling up and down the 309 betweeen Playacar and Paraiso looking for signs to TUCAN without success so we had to go into Paraiso and ask them for directions but they could not help - IN ENGLISH! They put me through to Tucan where Angel was very helpful - but then the long drive back to Playacar after a long flight was bad

Affordable luxury defined. Tucan is a casual, well appointed resort with many activities and features. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and clean. The "jungle" is a very fun natural feature. Monkeys! Beach is well maintained and has drink service, activities, security and lifeguard. The pool is massive, unique, spotless and beautifully designed. Perfect for families with lots to do for kids.

As I mentioned in the TripAdvisor review, we had a horrible experience with our housekeeping. Our room was not cleaned 2 out of 5 nights. We had to call and complain to get the maid to - begrudgingly - come make our room. There seemed to be a larger conflict with the maids. Every person we asked would say that our room was not "theirs" and would blame someone else for not having it made.

Please look for a new, more experienced crew who runs the entertainment programs . Maybe a beachbar with caribean music located in the sand would be a nice thing

Iberostar Tucan was such an amazing resort to break out of the Cold Northern Canadian weater during March break! All the animals, Scenery, and amazing staff, make up this great resort which in my opinion can accomidate to Familys, couples, singles, Retired folk, and weddings! As soon as you open your room door its almost like a Little Zoo where kids can be close and safe to the animals and for myself I am quite scared of any animals/ insects (anything that moves) I felt 100% great all around!
