Chiclana de la Frontera’s beaches are just 7km away from the centre of town. They are rather shallow beaches, with low swell and fine sand. They are very quiet, ideal for families or to sunbathe with your partner, since they offer all types of services and are unspoiled and well preserved.
Main beaches in Chiclana:
La Barrosa beach: 6km of fine golden sand make La Barrosa the main beach in Chiclana. It has two sections, one that runs along the sea promenade and another one a bit wilder, with dunes and pines, which extends from the sea promenade to the Puerco Tower.
Sancti Petri beach: This beautiful beach in Chiclana lies next to the old village of fishermen who used the almadraba technique to catch tuna. It is well known for its splendid sunsets and marina. Being 2km in length, it is shorter than La Barrosa, the rocks of Laja Bermeja making a natural fence between the two.
