IBEROSTAR Playa Mita
Our guests reviewsIBEROSTAR Playa Mita
"A very pleasant stay with a few minor issues, firstly that the sunset bar which doesn't open until 5 pm and closes at 11pm should remain open so people can remain outside for longer also it needs to serve drinks in glasses not plastic ones!! People don't want to drink out of plastic glasses when they are dressed up for the evening, secondly having to wait a long time (on one occasion 10 minutes) for a soft drink at the bar is unnecessary as they could be be self service in another area as most people at the bar are wanting cocktails which take longer to make, apart from these minor issues the hotel is very nice and I'm sure will prove popular with many visiting guests"Rating: 8,0
Top class hotel and great surroundings. Perfect place to unwind.
"Had a great holiday at your hotel. Loved every minute. The staff were great. Especially those in the piano lounge (Martina) and the band you had on in there each night. I would not hesitate booking to return to Playa Mita. Miss you all and hope to see you again."Rating: 10,0
We will be staying hopefully at an east coast (Riviera Maya) this October 2014.
"The resort for all ages. April 14 through April 24, 2014 the wife and I stayed at the new Iberostar Playa Mita. Having stayed at Iberostar's on the East Coast of Mexico we were looking forward to this new resort. Not disappointed in the least, it has a sleek modern design and when you look at the resort from the beach it has the appearance of cruise ship. The grounds, though new, will soon be spectacular. Our room was very well appointed with an ocean view. Beds were nice, not hard as most resorts. There is lots of storage space and bathroom had tons of hot water. Meals at the main buffet had a great selection of food, most evenings carried a different theme International, Mexican, Japanese, etc. The specialty restaurant themes were Gourmet, Mexican, Japanese and Steakhouse. Highly recommend the Pacific Express gourmet restaurant. This particular restaurant is done in the theme of an old railway dining car. The duck and lamb were done to perfection. The pool area is divided into 4 sections, the main pool, quiet pool which runs parallel to the main pool, activities pool and beautiful kids area with pirate ship, water slide, etc. The beach is magnificent stretches for almost 1½ miles with clean golden sand. Most enjoyable for walking or running. There are no palapss on the beach due to the tide, but there are unlimited umbrellas. Water is great for all activities. Now for the best part of this resort, the staff. I would love to name all the great people who made our stay so enjoyable but there are just too many to the list. Everyone from the bellboys and front desk clerks when you arrive, to housekeeping who leave the room spotless. All of the restaurant staff in the buffet's and the specialty restaurants were the absolute best, no matter what position they had they all took care of you. The bartenders and waitresses in the main lobby bar, cigar bar, and beach lounge delivered excellent service. Even the management of the resort are helping to make sure your stay is magnificent. If you're staying at a Iberostar resort you will get to know the Star Friends very well. This group of fine people provide you with games and activities poolside, on the beach and in the evening at the theatre. You may even have one of them join you during your breakfast or lunch. Very friendly and intelligent group of people. Every evening in the theatre are different productions of music, song and dance. Included with the Star Friends are the Star Dancers and Star Band. Very talented dancers, great musicians and beautiful singers. The Iberostar is approximately 1 hour drive from the Puerto Vallarta Airport. This trip itself is enjoyable as you pass through some beautiful landscape running along the coast and through the hills. There is the Lituba golf course surrounding the resort. We walked through part of it, beautiful. It is very reasonably priced for a game if you wish. Sayulita and Punta De Mita are the closest towns. We heard they were wonderful for day trips. Whether you are looking for a holiday of pure relaxation, peace and quiet or some party time the Iberostar Playa Mita is the place to go. We have finally found our west coast home away from home! Super great vacation
"My Wife and I just returned home from a 7 day stay at Iberostar Playa Mita. Where to begin? An amazing experience!!!! The staff absolutely makes it. Names like Armando (the guy on the PA system by the pool, he is hilarious and VERY good at his job), Moses, Tania in the lobby buffet, Fillipe at the activities desk, Suri at the beach activities hut, each and every bar tender, Aleex at the pool, Grisel the concierge, Piedad the concierge, and last but not least Jesus. There are simply too many great staff members to remember all of their names, but they are ALL truly great. The performers/dancers/musicians in the shows are really top notch. The facilities are outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The beach is fabulous! The food was very good, especially the Mexican food. Breakfast and lunch in the lobby buffet was excellent! In sort, if you're even thinking about going to Iberostar Playa Mita, stop thinking and just go! The entire experience with these great people was WAY worth the price. I am in the ski resort business in Colorado and, thus, I know how difficult it is to create a "seamless" experience for vacationing guests. The Iberostar Playa Mita staff created exactly that for my Wife and I. The golf course is a wonderful layout with the front 9 offering more wide open play and the back 9 winding through the jungle. The greens were a bit slow on the first day that I played, but were much better a couple of days later. $79 US to play this course was a very good deal. The proshop, however, needs to offer more fun stuff. I was ready to drop some cash on a great hat, maybe a Litibu towel or logo balls, perhaps a Litibu ball-mark tool, but none of these kinds of items were available. That being said, Roy and the rest of his staff at the golf course were super friendly and helpful. The 18th hole is easily one of the most beautiful golf holes I've ever played. My Wife and I had only a couple suggestions: 1. A Pool Shop - It would be nice if there were a small store in the pool/beach area. The only place to buy sunscreen, lip balm, magazines and other small items is up in the lobby. Perhaps these type of things could be offered for sale at the towel counter. 2. The Orange Juice - The OJ they serve is just not good. I feel bad even saying that because everything else we ate/drank was so good. This was an outstanding vacation and we are definitely going back. Jesus and his staff could simply not be more helpful and friendly. We loved each and every minute of being there and can't wait for our next visit. Thank you all so very much for being so great. Sincerely, Joe & Lynn Holbert Telluride, Colorado "Rating: 10,0

"A wonderful new hotel with absolutely incredible staff. From the bell boys (Thomas is amazing), to checking in and out (Nestor was very professional and so helpful), to the restaurant staff and cleaning personnel, our whole experience was so memorable.
