    "A business is as good as its staff! Whilst the majority of the staff were excellent there were a few that let you down. Head waiter/manageress in the Uxmal Tropical Restaurante had a poor attitude problem. A waiter in the La Hacienda Restaurante also had a attitude problem with not only checking the meal my wife selected did not contain "lime" to which she is allergic, but then proceeded to fetch her the wrong drink and then a second drink of coke that was completely flat and undrinkable. I am by no means a fussy eater, but some of the dishes were not nice and over cooked. We had asked if we could change our room, there was a palm tree in front of the balcony spoiling the sea view. We were informed there would not be another room available for 5 days but to return to reception on that morning to confirm we still wished to change. This I did and was told there were no rooms available for another 2 days. I suggested the room next to us was available the next day as we had befriended the occupant who informed us when she was leaving. The young man in reception told me this also was not available for 2 days. After speaking to our Thomas Cook rep. she spoke with a young lady who immediately found a room available that we accepted with thanks. The lady in the room I suggestd as an alternative and was informed was not leaving when I suggested, did in fact leave on the day I said. Why the young man in reception could not be bothered to help, I do not know. Cleanliness generally was very good, but the swimming pool I believe requires more attention. After a week my wife developed an ear infection which required treatment from a doctor who believed it to have come from using the pool. With the water being so warm and the pool so busy, especially with young chidren, it becomes a breeding ground for germs. As a point of note, the day after reporting the ear infection we noticed the water in the pool being checked and that we could smell the chemicals for treating the water? One last comment. It would have been nice to have sat down and relaxed after our meal with a couple of drinks with other people but it was too hot and humid. A cooler environment in the public areas during the hotter times would have been appreciated. "

    "hi we just arrive from iberostar quetzel and had a excellent wonderful time ,the beach ,food , all the people that works there a was excellent they made you feel at home ,als the resort itself is a paradise of a place , excellent for families , we will be returning again for sure . once again ty very much iberostar and all the wonderfull people that work hard there for your friendship and confort ."

    I would definitely recommend Iberostar Quetzal to my friends and family. The tours were great, the bus staff, the snorkeling instructors etc. were professional .

    "The staff was friendly and courteous,food was fine. The natural tropical ambiance of the forest with all the animals in close proximity, excellent!!! . Overall a wonderful experience. The only drawback was going to the other lobby to book tours etc. I also preferred the Quetzal to my original booking at Paraiso. Quetzal was smaller and more accessible for me."

    Great hotel and location. Expensive on site facilities.

    "This is my 10th All inclusive and this was probably the best standard. It's a Very Good hotel. Food was a high standard. Never waited for to queue for anything, always plenty of seating. Staff were attentive. Grounds were spotless. Rooms were a decent size and standard and always cleaned daily. Drinks and ice cream dispensers were a great idea. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach and around the pool, never had any problems finding one. Some small negatives is that the sunbeds really are all too close together, having said that if there were less you may struggle to find one. Hotel trips, water sports, diving prices on site are far too expensive compared to other resorts, hence we didn't do any in resort which is a pity."

    "Hotel was brilliant,very chilled atmosphere,staff couldn't do enough to make your stay enjoyable.Buffet food was good and we ate at three of the restaurants as well.Pool great but beach is awesome.Rooms clean and comfy,loved the animals.Fanatastic holiday and all credit should go to your staff for their hardwork and smiles every day."
