IBEROSTAR Paraíso Maya
Our guests reviewsIBEROSTAR Paraíso Maya
My family and I had a wonderful vacation. It is our second visit to your hotel and find it beautiful, clean and your staff is wonderful.
"There are two things I found inconvenient. First, it took over an hour of standing in the hallway waiting to book the restaurants because the concierge was always so busy. Everytime we passed by he had a line. Second, we had to be up and outside by 7 am in order to get poolside chairs for the family. Luckily I am the only early riser in the family so we were able to get chairs otherwise we would not have a place to sit. I heard many people complain about this."Rating: 10,0
"We had a truly enjoyable time and loved the IBEROSTAR...we would certainly recommend it. All employees were extremely friendly, helpful and highly energetic. The buffets as well as our eating experiences for Steak and Mexican food were great. Our only complaint was that we could not get to eat at the other specialty restaurants. All of the typical dining times were already reserved and we did not want to eat as a family after 9pm. The two restaurants we did eat at had PLENTY of empty tables when we dined. I would be REALLY disappointed if there were empty tables when we tried to eat at the ones we were unable to eat at. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay and we would certainly consider returning!"Rating: 10,0
We definitley would like to go back in the future
"Great resort. Would have liked to have the ability to use a "free" shuttle service to your other resorts in playa del carmen. All services were excellent. Food and drink fantastic. Grounds looked great. "Rating: 10,0
We are already planning our next trip!
"We enjoyed almost everything about our stay. The staff, the atmosphere, the food, the facilities...all top notch. However, the mattress on the bed was like sleeping on concrete. The pads on the pool chaises were softer than the beds. Every evening I was tempted to go out by the poolside and take a couple of chair pads up to my room...never did. However I did sleep on the couch a couple of nights. It was also much softer than the bed. I realize some people like firm mattresses, so this may not be an issue with others. In addition, I have a gluten intolerance which can make choosing meals a challenge. I'm happy to say that I did not experience any problems while at the resort, but I was not very successful in communicating my dietary needs to the wait staff. Not their fault, just one of the normal problems with traveling internationally and not speaking the native language. In the buffet it was fairly easy to choose fruit & vegetable options and be safe. In the restaurants it was a little more difficult, since I didn't know how things were prepared. We also had a slight issue with the time change that took place while we were there. During our 1 week stay, there was a time change. The clocks were moved ahead an hour on our second night. No one in our party recalls any notification of the time change at any time or any place at the resort. Thank goodness we did not have an excursion planned for the following day or we would have missed the pickup time. We felt the time change could have been communicated better. All in all, very minor issues. "Rating: 9,0
