I will certainly look at another trip to an Iberostar Resort possibly Punta Cana within the next 12 months. Return Iberostar visitors should be rewarded with their loyalyt with additional a la carte meals or extra perks such as a spa day
"My stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach was from Nov 1-8. The service at the hotel was excellent. Buffet staff was excellent especially Miguel. The accommodations were good. Our maid was very thorough and performed as requested. Our room was only turned down at night time only once during the week stay. The a la carte meals were quite good. I recommend the Mediterranean and the Japanese as the best of the restaurants and the Italian and Steakhouse as over rated. The Mexican restaurant was good and portions were large. One bad thing occurred upon check out. We were instructed by our Air Canada representative that the best method to call Canada (home) was using a calling card you can buy in the lobby. Upon check out we were informed there would be a connection fee for the use of the calling card from our room phone. The hotel could have and should have deleted these charges of only approx $20 U.S.. This us our second visit to this resort and we brought another couple with us to enjoy the resort and we get these charges-not necessary. This is our third stay at an Iberostar resort within the past 2 years. Finally the Air Canada tour representative was terrible but this is not a hotel issue. I will pen a separate note to our travel agent regarding his poor effort. The hotel should be aware that some tour operator staff can affect the impression of the stay at the hotel and should monitor how they service the guests. I must close my stating that Daniel at the concierge desk was very helpful and gave us the opportunity for the best vacation we could have with great a la carte meals."Rating: 8,0

"We found the service was good, though sometimes staffing seemed limited. Everyone on staff was very helpful and pleasant. We really struggled with the lighting in the room, both the common area and bathroom. The light was too dim for ladies preparations. The setup of the pool area was lovely. It was very nice to experience a pool experience that didn't make you feel as though you were lined up on a ship deck. The separation of area's and chair groupings was very appreciated. A suggestion regarding the pool area would be to increase staff to clean and service the area. We had 2 days where trash was on the table by our chairs before we arrived and was still there when we left the pool area at the end of the day and we didn't see a waitress or waiter the entire time. The buffet restuarant was somewhat disappointing in quality and variety - from main courses, fruits, and desserts. Our room was clean and pleasant and the grounds nicely manicured. The staggered check out times dependent on your transportation time was very appreciated. "Rating: 8,0
"We upgraded to the Lindo. The food was excellent (went to a different restaurant 6 nights out of the 7). Japanese restaurant, although great experience, the beef was heavily salted and we could not eat it. The staff were excellent and the cleanliness of the rooms and facility were great. We would love to have you introduce live music (bands) other than the nightly shows, although the Mexican show was stupendous. My only complaint is the beds were sagging and we all returned with sore backs (we travelled with another couple that had the same complaint) our chiropractor loved the extra business. "Rating: 9,0
