Enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.
"Second time and we were very pleased. Suggestions, the common areas where a bit warm, the air conditioning could have been turned up a bit. Secondly, red wine is being served warm to almost hot, needs to be stored in a cooler location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's amazing how the know everyone's name!"Rating: 9,0
"I had a wonderful time during my five-night stay. I was amazed I would all-inclusive really meant. The facilities were wonderful and very very clean. Upon check-in I was welcomed kindly by Daniel. He truly started off my experience great! He made things clear and was extremely polite. Abraham one of the bellboys was extremely helpful as well. He took my luggage to my room and even offered to show me around facilities on the golf cart. His extra effort made me feel very special! I do wish the buffet food was a little better he lacks taste and some preparation was poor. The golf course facilities and employees were wonderful as well! The greens in the Fairways were very well manicured. And rarely wear the Sandtrap's place. I live in Hawaii so I know it nice golf courses look like, this golf course was up there in the top five for me! When I got home I already asked or even told my friends that we are all going back sooner or later! "Rating: 8,0
"We just got back from 8 nights at the Iberostar Grand hotel and it was a fabulous experience. The hotel reminds us of a Venetian Palace The grounds are immaculate and our room was anything we could have possibly wished for with the beautiful balcony with hammock chair and couch and gorgeous wooden floor. We cannot say enough about how wonderful all the personel is. Always a smile and they work so VERY VERY hard. The food left a bit to be desired, but the l'Atelier restaurant and Toni's Surf and Turf were great. And of course the service was fantastic. Especially Israel in the buffet restaurants, he was always there and making sure that everyone was taken care of. The people waiting on us at the beach, always making sure that we always had a cold water or drink. The beach is not a swimming beach, too many rocks. But you can walk just a few minutes around the corner from the hotel and there are some beautiful spots to go swim. We will definitely be back in the Ierostar in December. "Last year we stayed at the Iberostar Grand in Jamaica. Since we enjoyed our stay there so much we decided to vacation at the Grand in Cancun. Our first impression was that the Cancun Grand was mush larger than the Jamaica Grand. Upon arrival we did have a concern with the location of our room, but your staff quickly remedied the concern. All the staff at the Cancun Grand Paraíso was very professional and courteous, and there are several who need to be mentioned for their outstanding service and interaction with the guests. Olivia, who is a server at the pool was extremely pleasant and was constantly asking us if we needed anything. Even outside the pool area she always greeted us with the same smile and was eager to ask us if she could help us in anyway. Also at the pool, Star Friends Evelyn, Andres, Ether, Xemena and Haviare, were very out going. They encouraged us and other guests to participate in activities at poolside and in the theatre where they also preformed. Our butlers, Caesar and Charly, were also very helpful. They made sure all our needs were met on those nights that he was not assigned to our room, he made sure his replacement was aware of our needs. These staff members are an important reason as to why we enjoyed out recent stay. On scale of 1 - 10 I would rate them all an 11..... There are a couple of issues that we feel need to mention. While the food at the Surf and Turf and Japanese restaurants was excellent we felt the dinning at the other restaurants was better at the Jamaica Grand. The exception being the Mexican restaurant because there was no Mexican restaurant in Jamaica. The lunch select while similar in both hotels was similar the Jamaica Grand was also better and offered a different and varied selections including the beach BBQ. One important difference was the quality of the towels that were supplied in the rooms at the Cancun Grand. All of the towels in the Cancun Grand, were very stiff and rough on the skin. Many of the towels also appeared to be worn as you could see the wear marks on them. We often used the towels from the pool area as they were softer. "Rating: 8,0
This is the second best resort we have experienced and is of very high quality.
"Great venue, extremely clean (the best care of room cleaning one can get and I travel the world since >30y), excellent care on the quality of the buildings and installations, very nice and caring personnel, professional management doing regular tours, great buffets and very nice waterfront/beach. Area's for improvement are in the domain of food: coffee is not good (why not install Delonghi machines with good beans, would save also on personnel), fruit never was ripe, too much sugar in fruit juices, restaurants do not always deliver the quality (eg in french restaurant the Bouillabaise is a only meager fish soupe or the Ossobucco is a Boeuf braisé), lobster is crayfish, most fish is deep fried and lacks taste.
