"As a late booking I had little time to research but as we explore wherever we visit the Self Catering option was taken, as we find All Inclusive restricting. The staff were fantastic and really knew how to make you feel welcome and valued. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they seemed genuine not false. The place itself was pretty and well cared for with good amenities and on site shops. Being a little out of the way there was a regular taxi service or the option which we took of hiring a car on site. We stayed in the much maligned Block 11 which I had managed to find out about before we left yet although it was a little tired and basic, it was adequate and the air conditioning was a free bonus. As mentioned we self catered and this is where the holiday became unstuck. Two burners only, which never seemed to work that well, No kettle or teaspoons which meant using saucepans and desert spoons just to make a cup of tea in cups that in three gulps were empty as they were so small. No oven limited you to basically Baguettes and the frying pan was so small that meals would need to be cooked on a one person basis. We mostly eat out on holiday but do sometimes cook the odd meal and the facilities available meant this was not possible. I feel sorry for the people who go away self catering and intend to cook their own food as this just could not be done here. No ashtrays, only two chairs on the balcony in a room for four and no slip mat in the bath when showering were all unnecessary omissions The small cove on site was beautiful and inviting but when in the water was found to contain rubbish which would have been easily cleaned by the hotel. We did consider going All Inclusive but felt 44 euros a day per person excessive as we would not use it that much. What we did see of the food seemed as alright as buffet food could be but when we did go to use the restaurants and bars you felt excluded and an inconvenience to staff, as first you had to explain to none english speaking staff that you were not All Inclusive and had to pay which meant they had to go off and find someone to explain it to and then when you did pay they seemed to first have to walk a mile to obtain a receipt then again when you paid once more repeat this journey for change. It left you feeling awkward and resulted in us not using facilities there. I think some sort of card which could be charged to your room to be used as and when you use it onsite would be ideal for all self caterers, also a dedicated block for self caterers only, which would save money for the hotel Would I go again? If my issues raised were rectified, yes I believe I would. "Rating: 6,0
Great holiday, very relaxing, fantastic pools, lovely location, wonderful staff!
"We had a great, fun, relaxing and enjoyable holiday at Club Cala Barca in Majorca. All the staff there were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very good and the facilities were spot on. All in all we do not have any complaints and would thoroughly recommend this destination to friends and family. Thanks again! Overall the holiday was enjoyable but not value for money
"Staff were helpful and friendly. Food is good although restaurant is a large canteen. Apartments were clean but small and air conditioning was inadequate. Resort is large, busy and noisy in the mornings with guests leaving in the early hours. "Rating: 5,0
"This hotel is lovely! It's very highly maintained, cleaned every day. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Good choice of pools to suit everybody. Good choice of food available all day, All inclusive option was definitely worth it. Violetta made our holiday singing the '£1 fish song'. We will defiantly return next year :) "Rating: 10,0
Great food and service. But poor help from reception, if you forget stuff.
"Great food and service. A bit disappointing that the entertainment was the same as last year on almost all days of our 7 nights stay. The fitness centre is not very good - would be great to have a few more of the standard mashines and a proper fitness bike. Our only really bad experience was to get help to retrieve some forgotten materials from our room. The receptionist did not make a proper check, and we had to call the reception manager - but then two days had past, and it was not possible to find the forgotten items. "Rating: 8,0
