"My wife and I stayed for 10 nights, all inclusive in room 331 at Iberostar Papagayo, Lanzarote. Overall we were very impressed by the staff's attentiveness and efficiency. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurant kitchen and waiting staff were excellent. The removal of empty plates did at times seems a little abrupt but I put this down to speed of service rather than a desire to hurry us along and out, although I could be wrong. The food was generally very good with just one or two sessions when the menu was not to our liking. The room cleaners were very good apart from a couple of occasions when the patio doors were left unlocked which was a security worry. Our only real complaints, and hence the slightly lower overall score, was the pool area. Although maybe stylish, the shape and layout of the pool we thought was not practical. Also, why line it with those awful black tiles? They make the pool look dark, murky and uninviting. Traditional light blue is always the way to go. The only possible reason I can think of is to attract the sunlight to try and heat the water but did you know that pools can be heated electrically using solar panels which cost nothing to run after installation? Another issue with this area is the perennial problem of people reserving sunbeds with towels etc at 0730 in the morning, despite numerous signs saying that this was not allowed and towels would be removed by staff. Every day we came down after breakfast and were unable to get a sunbed due to towels, with not a guest in sight. At no time did any staff remove a towel. If you have a rule, then please enforce it, otherwise don't bother! As non-smokers we found it offensive to have to inhale other people's smoke around the pool and particularly on the terrace of the lobby bar. Whilst we will probably not return to Iberostar, having now decided that a villa is the better option for us, we would recommend your hotel to friends."Rating: 7,0
"We hebben een heerlijk vakantie gehad! Mooie grote kamer (met een upgrade de familie-suite gekregen). Vol uitzicht op zee, heerlijk rustig en lekkere stevige matras, minibar en inloopkast met kluis. Onze complimenten gaan naar het personeel, allen even aardig, vriendelijk en behulpzaam, van huishoudelijke hulp tot receptie. Speciaal willen wij het leuke, gezellige en sportieve animatie-team noemen. Wij hebben genoten van hun shows, spellen en vrolijkheid. Voor ons waren Fi, Megan en Stephan de toppers! Heerlijke ontspannende, gezellig 14 dagen gehad in Iberostar Papagayo op het bijzondere Lanzarote! Dank jullie wel!"Rating: 8,0

"Myself, my 10 year old son and my mother who's 73 have just returned from Iberostar Papagayo in Lanzarote and couldn't fault the hotel or staff. The rooms were very clean and made service excellent as were the rest if the hotel staff, they were all extremely helpful. The pool area was clean and there were always plenty sunneds. The pool bar had a great selection of snacks and drinks. My son had a great time with the evening entertainment and enjoyed meeting new friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back and recommend it to friends! "Rating: 10,0
your hotel looses in quality because of this cheap system which invites cheap guests, that is logical.
"for the third time we spend 2 weeks in Ibero start Papagayo hotel - Lanzarote. We always book in advance for a junior suite. Normal conditions , not inclusive! This time we had the impression that the last minute and all inclusive guests war more important than we were. There was not one time that between all the free drinks for the all inclusive people, any bar tender offered us a free drink or a cup of coffee.While the all incisive guests drink until 22.00 hrs as much as they can , we did it with just a drink for our own account. Also the table settings were seriously reserved for families 4 and 6 persons and we ( 2 persons) could do with a table some where in a corner. This system of all inclusive prices , does not bring your hotels the best guests and we will choose an other hotel for next year, not inclusive. Regards Willem Rudolf den Haan. "Rating: 7,0
