    Not sure what "resume your experience" means!

    "My wife and I wonder what is happening at this hotel! General maintenance is suffering and staff morale seems low. Tiles around the pool were broken or missing. Fridge in our room had leaked and caused the surrounding cabinet to swell and split. Shower curtain was very old and had shrunk allowing water to flow onto the floor whilst in use. Waiters were excellent in the restaurant. Funnily enough the same staff were not very friendly in the salon bar although in the theatre bar the staff were generally good natured. Food was generally of good quality and varied choice. Casseroled beef varied in quality from good to pretty awful with fat and gristle predominating on one ocassion. We were staying as all-inclusive guests for our third visit over the last five years. This time the hotel house cocktail, the Iberostar cocktail, was different each time we had it. It varied from bar to bar and from one member of staff to another. It went from pink to orange coloured. Poolwise there were plenty of sunbeds but more parasols are needed. The animation team were excellent, both friendly and talented. In the pool bar there was an awful smell which remained all week. Whilst not the hotel's fault our inability to escape cigarette smoke was a serious issue. Other than our room the only places we could be smoke-free was the hotel lobby and the restaurant. Also the theatre was delightfully smoke-free but limited to the times when shows were on."

    Wil consider Iberostar again. Maybe Lanzarote Park next year

    "I did enjoy the holiday and many good points. However I am aware that the Papagayo hotel has been sold and will be a Mirador Hotel in January. This definitely effected some aspects of quality. Renovations and repairs not being carried out as normal, staff enthusiasm down because of uncertainty. I was particularly dissapointed with the choice and quality of the food. I believe the food at the Lanazarote Park is far better. In particlar the meat was always overcooked and therefore tough, particularly the chicken. Also the manageress decided halway through mt holiday to stop All Inclusive drinks at 11pm even though this had been until 12pm. After many complaints she changed it back to 12pm. Very strange behaviour. Also the pool bar is badly designed and is more like a cafe snack bar. This closed at 6pm when it should be renovated and open till 12pm also"

We lament your disappointment with our bars and restaurant although we would like to take the opportunity to point out that a full description of our hotels is available on our website; Moreover you will see that a description of the All Inclusive basis is also reported, indicating that All Inclusive is available at the Junco pool bar from 10.30am to 6pm, at the Rubicón from 12.30 to 4.30pm, at the Flamingo lobby bar from 12 noon to 11.00pm and the Timanfaya salon bar from 8 to 11.00pm every day, although during high occupation we have extended the service until midnight to offer a better service. The passion for gastronomy being one of the prime pillars of our company, we deeply lament your disappointment as our professional Chefs strive to surprise our guests with a high standard gastronomy and the possibility to savor the best of the local cuisine as well as the finest international delights following a two weeks menu rotation to ensure a wide variety of dishes throughout our guests’ stay.     Zeker aan te raden voor een rustige vakantie en mensen met een mobiele beperking.

    "Goed hotel, al zijn er wat zaken voor verbetering vatbaar. Ligging aan de promenade is zeker een pluspunt, ideaal voor mooie wandelingen en prima toegankelijk voor minder mobiele mensen. Kamers zijn heel netjes doch wat verouderd, en zeker de bedden zijn aan vervanging toe. Personeel is heel vriendelijk. Geen grote uitschieter qua keuken maar ik kan zeker niet zeggen dat het eten slecht was. Restaurant kan misschien wat gezelliger ingericht worden, de indeling van de tafels gaf meer het gevoel van een refter in een school. Avondanimatie tijdens ons verblijf was niet echt geweldig. Bar mocht ook wel een uurtje langer open zijn, sloot al om 23u. "

    "We very much enjoyed our recent stay at the Iberostar Papagayo in Lanzarote. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel very clean and the food was good and varied. We had a wonderful sea view, what more could you want for a great holiday? "
