Never again an Iberostar hotel
"First the positive things: very good location, next to the wonderfull Marina Rubicon and walking distance from the Papagoya beaches. Also nice swimming pools and good service from the staff. The negative things: - food was a big disappointment, it is very cheap and simple and every day about the same. After 2 - 3 days starts to get boring. It is not very tastefull either. I finished eating almost evey day pizza and ice cream, the rest was not very tastefull. Also the "showcooking" is poor and almost not existing. - sun beds : there were enough, but many were in bad condition and some (the ones next to the swimming pools) were covered with a kind of blue garbage bag cover. Also very often dirty. I found this disgusting. Maybe this was because of the people using them, but the hotel should clean them. - sun umbrella's: to few available ! I don't understand, this is of almost no cost for a hotel and yet there are not enough. And unless you want to get burned, you need them ! - rooms: we were in the apartments (other side of the street). Enough space for us but bathroom in poor condition and needs renovation. Especially the shower needs work, as well as the bath. Air conditioning: did work, I mean you heard something blowing, but it was not cold air :-( . Beds were "strange": mattress was not of very good quality. This hotel would better announce itself as a 3* instead of the fake 4* ! If I would have payed for a 3* and if they would have announced it as a 3*, then maybe I would have been a bit more happy, but saying this is 4* is almost fraud. Last year we stayed at Barcelo Santiago, same price but 100x better. "Rating: 1,0

"The lobby en the poolarea need a make over. The chaires at the pool are not inviting to lie there.Very friendly people at the reception !If you arrive during the night, you can only drink water at your room and that water is not cool !!!"Rating: 8,0
very kind staff and good hotel
"Very good hotel. One important note: only when I phoned to reconfirm our arrival I have been informed that for the room with sea view ,as requested in my reservation, I should have to pày an extra of 13 euro /day. Furthermore these kind of rooms being no more available the only chance was to pay an extra of 25 euro/day for a junior suite. My question is: why are not showed these extra while making the reservation(with Booking com in my case). Really it was very bad to learn them at the last minute or after your arrival to the hotel. it is a very bad way to start your vacation."Rating: 7,0
