Experiences in Sa Font de sa Cala: What to do
- Cultural tour in Capdepera: Capdepera is a small village, but it has a lot to entertain cultural tourists: art galleries, arts & crafts markets, even the ateliers of local painters, live music as you eat al fresco, theatre shows… Plans for all and sundry.
- Nightlife in Cala Ratjada: This small fishing village in north-eastern Majorca boasts the liveliest nightlife on the island. Everything is at arm’s reach for a fun night out with your family, your partners or your friends. It is as simple as coming to the town centre and trying one of the many seaside pubs and cafés. Then just enjoy your drink!
- Popular markets near Sa Font de sa Cala: The whole area around Sa Font has a high concentration of street markets, promising unique colour, smell and flavour experiences with their ancient customs and traditions. On Wednesday there is a market at Plaza de Oriente in Capdepera; on Saturday you can go to Plaza de Los Pinos in Cala Ratjada. In the summer, both villages host a daily market.
- Port of Cala Ratjada: This port is still one of the best places to get fresh fish on the island. It is small and cosy, full of traditional features. Every day, lots of boats get to it, laden with the best Mediterranean fish and seafood. Watching the fishermen unload their catches is quite entertaining, but the best thing, of course, is coming to a nearby restaurant and taste the booty.
