"My wife and I wanted a getaway, so we came here for 6-day scuba diving excursion. PLEASE READ ALL DO NOT RUN THE ROOM AIR CONDITIONER. STAFF: Good and professional ….If you spoke Spanish !!! ROOM: Clean, no bugs, daily the room was made up extremely pleasant. GROUNDS: Very well cared for. Except when it rained hard, the room being on the ground floor, was incredibly near to flooding. FOOD: Hot food did not exist. For 6 days, we ate COLD food. DRINKS: WEEK, & not much flavor. Booz had to be from the “BOTTOM SHELF” THE STAY: The first day, I had a light cough around mid-day. I did not thing much of it and did my 3 dives. The second day the cough was getting more frequent and Intensified each day. On the fourth day, I had to cut my second dive short as I had reverse squeeze in my right ear. Diving was over for me! My wife got the same COUGH but not as bad. When I was around others, I noticed that all most everyone had the same cough. So here I am, cannot sleep or dive, feel like “death warmed over” and have 2 days before I leave. The fifth day I go and see the medical personal, not a doctor, which would cost $80.00. Not much that they can do for me. But turn off the air condition in the room. This did help, but was too late. When I got back home, I went straight to a doctor. Both of us had bronchitis. We are recovered but it took a week. SO DO NOT RUN THE ROOM AIR CONDITIONER. "

More than likely not to return.

"This was the third time for us to stay at he Iberostar......wow what a difference from the previous two times......ladies at the front were extremely nice....then we had to wait until 3 to get to our rooms.....we arrived at 12:30! We have never been aware of a wait time....the food was okay...not what we have had in the past....the Star Friends were nothing in comparison...so we asked and they said it had sold. The beach bar closed one morning...bartender said the boss called and it was not busy enough....strange they took our money to come to an all inclusive resort....so the 9 of us apparently didn't constitute busy enough...had to ask again for bed padding....we did get .....just not the same."

Overall - We had a great time.

"Hotel was clean, staff very friendly. WIFI was not included and very expensive. We were obliged to buy a full hour, and that would accommodate only one device; we could not share. Very frustrating. There is a monopoly taxi service on the island that is very "un-user-friendly". One way into town for 2-4 people was $20. Our group was six, so we had to pay $40, but it was the same size van regardless. We might have gone into town and spent money there, but not for $80. The hotel is unable to offer a shuttle service, and even the dive shop we used was not allowed to pick us up at the hotel, or they would be fined $500 for taking passengers. Overall, the hotel was fine, but we wouldn't go back to Cozumel unless the transportation issue is sorted out."

Good hotel, rooms need updating, food only ok, diving was amazing. Not a 5 star, maybe 3.5-4.

"Overall, good vacation. I have been to several Iberostars, including the Grand Rose Hall Jamaica, as well as Cozumel years ago. At Cozumel, Staff was very nice, and service was good. Dining room service could have been more attentive. Staff at the dive shop was really great, as was the diving. The grounds were great, very well kept, the vegetation and animals were cool. The food was ok, not anything special. The food variety was not good;I even heard one guest say "why aren't they feeding us tonight?" (Jan 1st dinner) I would say the food was a 6/10. The rooms were clean but need to be updated. I really like the style of the hotel which is small walk up units rather than a big hotel with elevators. The beach was nice, but of course one cannot really swim at the beach because of the coral. This was disappointing. One adult in our group of 13 commented that the pool was very loud and he wanted a separate pool without all the aerobics and games ie a quieter area for those who want to relax without noise. Overall a pretty good vacation, went mostly for sun and diving, which were both good. The hotel rooms need to be updated and the food definitely is not up to par with other resorts. We travel a lot and probably have been to at least 15 all inclusive's over the years. Would go back just for the diving, or might try another resort nearby with better food. "

Fantastic!

"Our group had the pleasure of staying at the Iberostar in Cozumel. During our stay Hurricane Rina formed and headed for us. The staff at the resort informed us that they would be need to evacuate off the island. What we didn't realize at the time was that your staff would take care of us like family and make sure everone was taken care of personally. They arrainged our transport to the mainland to another beautiful Iberostar in Playa Carmen. There, the staff was as friendly and attentive as are the staff in Cozumel. We were so happy with how nice our vacation turned out even during the adversity of the weather, thanks to all at Iberostar. One employee in paticular that we want to give a special thanks to is a gentleman named Nestor Cifuetes for his attention to detail that was above and beyond expectations! When traveling in the future we will look for an Iberostar as a first choice for lodging.Sincerly,Larry Bergman & Gail Brown"

Had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much.

"Everyone treated us so nicely. We enjoyed getting to talk to some of the employees and learning more about them. The lobby was a nice place to gather and enjoy each others company. One small thing we noticed is that the lobby looked a little shabby. Maybe something as small as new lampshades would have been an improvement. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was very good and a very nice variety."
