"The hotel was clean and in great shape the rooms were very nice and the setting was amazing. The staff was vary attentive and polite. The pool and entertainment where vary fun. Having the dive club there was great and made the diving wonderful. However the food was really bad it was always cold and had no flavor at all. my towel was picked up by the staff and they would not return it so I had to pay for it. I will return to this resort, my overall experience was very fun and I will recommend the hotel to my friends. "Rating: 8,0
"Our experience was reaaly great and we have nothing but praise for the staff at Iberostar Cozumel. From reception who handled all our requirements with prompt attention, the dining and bar staff who were very attentive (even to those who never tipped) and the house maids who cleaned our room daily such that we thought we were arriving every time we returned. We had read that the food was below par but we found quite the opposite. The buffet restaurant (breakfast and dinner) had a huge and varied selection of good quality foood that would more than satisfy 95% of guests and the Specialty restaurants were all excellent. Special tacos or red snapper at the Mexican restaurant are really good. The tenderloin at the Grill restaurant was melt in your mouth quality and the Grouper served at the Rock restaurant is as good as anything you will get at a michelin rated restaurant. The snorkeling tour (3 reefs) was very good but the island tour is a waste of time and money. Anyone travelling to Cozumel in November needs to be prepared for some rainy weather and bring some bug spray as the mosquitos do proliferate after the rains. The Star Friends staff who handled the entertainment were nothing short of amazing. Lots of activities during the day and some excellent shows at night. We didn't dive but did a lot of snorkling and some really good snorkling just off the pier at the resort. Lots of rock and coral on the beach so you will need swim shoes should you wish to walk in rather than use the steps on the pier. WE did have a problem with smoking being allowed in the lobby and other indoor venues/bars. We have no hesitation in recommending Iberostar Cozumel to anyone looking for a good vacation at a reasonable cost. "Rating: 9,0

"My wife and I wanted a getaway, so we came here for 6-day scuba diving excursion. PLEASE READ ALL DO NOT RUN THE ROOM AIR CONDITIONER. STAFF: Good and professional ….If you spoke Spanish !!! ROOM: Clean, no bugs, daily the room was made up extremely pleasant. GROUNDS: Very well cared for. Except when it rained hard, the room being on the ground floor, was incredibly near to flooding. FOOD: Hot food did not exist. For 6 days, we ate COLD food. DRINKS: WEEK, & not much flavor. Booz had to be from the “BOTTOM SHELF” THE STAY: The first day, I had a light cough around mid-day. I did not thing much of it and did my 3 dives. The second day the cough was getting more frequent and Intensified each day. On the fourth day, I had to cut my second dive short as I had reverse squeeze in my right ear. Diving was over for me! My wife got the same COUGH but not as bad. When I was around others, I noticed that all most everyone had the same cough. So here I am, cannot sleep or dive, feel like “death warmed over” and have 2 days before I leave. The fifth day I go and see the medical personal, not a doctor, which would cost $80.00. Not much that they can do for me. But turn off the air condition in the room. This did help, but was too late. When I got back home, I went straight to a doctor. Both of us had bronchitis. We are recovered but it took a week. SO DO NOT RUN THE ROOM AIR CONDITIONER. "Rating: 4,0

"This was the third time for us to stay at he Iberostar......wow what a difference from the previous two times......ladies at the front were extremely nice....then we had to wait until 3 to get to our rooms.....we arrived at 12:30! We have never been aware of a wait time....the food was okay...not what we have had in the past....the Star Friends were nothing in comparison...so we asked and they said it had sold. The beach bar closed one morning...bartender said the boss called and it was not busy enough....strange they took our money to come to an all inclusive resort....so the 9 of us apparently didn't constitute busy enough...had to ask again for bed padding....we did get .....just not the same."Rating: 5,0
