Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, the hotel division of Grupo Iberostar, is one
of the best-known hotel chains in the world.
In 2004, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts will start up its activity in some
of the areas of the world with the greatest demand for tourism: the Greek islands
of Corfu and Zakynthos, and also in Brazil. In the latter destination its presence
will initially take the form of a luxury ship-hotel which will sail the waters
of the Amazon and Negro rivers. At the end of the year 2005, the hotel chain
will have 92 hotels available for guests, with over 61,600 beds. Iberostar is
already preparing new complexes in Salvador de Bahia (Brazil), Montego Bay (Jamaica)
and Cuba for the year 2006.
Since its origins in 1983, the hotel division of Grupo Iberostar has been characterised
