BY BICYCLE
You can visit the area surrounding Marmaris by bicycle. However, you will need a bicycle with gears because there are a few steep hills along the tarmacked road. One option is to go along the esplanade for about 9 km to Icmeler or to venture slightly further until you reach Turunc about 20 km away.

BY CAR
Without a doubt, the best day trip by car is to Dalyan about 90 km away. The route is completed tarmacked, even off the motorway. It is important to hire a car with air-conditioning in order to be able to endure the very high temperatures, especially in the summer. When you leave Marmaris head towards Mugla/Airport and follow the winding road that goes through trees and vegetation until you reach the turnoff for Gokora. Then keep heading south until you reach the airport and after about 45 km and after the small town of Ortaca turn right and you will see signs for Dalyan. Once you have arrived there you can expect an unforgettable day, enjoying mud baths that are perfect for eliminating toxins. Later in the day you should visit Tortoise Beach, a heavenly beach where tortoises migrate year after year to mate and lay their eggs. You can get there by boat and can visit the tombs of the king and queen, which were cut out of the rocks.

BY BOAT
From the hotel complex you can take a boat to Turunc Akbuk. The boat leaves at ten o'clock in the morning and you can enjoy a day at sea and return at five o'clock in the afternoon. The boat to Turunc and its surrounding bays leaves every day. It is a very comfortable trip because the boat stops along the way so that the crew can take a dip in the sea to refresh themselves. It is very important to be well prepared; wear a hat to cover your head and go swimming at regular intervals to help with the constant exposure to the sun. You also need to put sun cream on to protect your skin from temperatures of up to 42ºC. Food is normally served onboard, although sometimes they anchor the boat near a beach so you can eat in one of the restaurants there.
Another longer seafaring option is to take a trip to one of the islands, such as Dodecaneso or Gocek. These trips enable you to experience what it is like to be a true sailor for three whole days.

BEAUTY WHERE THE SEAS MEET
This is the jewel of the Turkish Riviera, the most sophisticated and multi-faceted tourist centre on the Ottoman coast. Located where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet, its beautiful bay is known for its boat trips and cosmopolitan feel.
Marmaris is a Greek word meaning shining and gleaming, a word which perfectly describes the environment in which the town is located. One of the main attractions of Marmaris is its beaches; however we strongly recommend going a little further outside the centre in order to enjoy the surrounding area which is extremely beautiful. Nonetheless, due to its warm and pleasant climate, Marmaris is a very appealing holiday destination at any time of year. In the summer you will find the biggest influx of tourists, just when the thermometers begin to rise and temperatures of up to 40ºC or more are reached. It is important to be well prepared and drink plenty of water throughout the day.

ON FOOT
The distance between Marmaris and Icmeler is approximately 9 km and it is a good walk that goes past hotels and gives you the chance to take in the natural surroundings and the omnipresent blue of the sea. It is a good place to do a bit of jogging and also to wander around the bazaar in that area. You will find all kinds of interesting goods at the bazaar, from famous Turkish rugs to silver and gold articles. Another option is to settle in for the day at one of the beaches which, as a rule, are quite narrow but provide all kinds of comforts, such as sun loungers and parasols. From there you can see the old castle that overlooks the town.
