REGIONAL FOOD
 A delight for the palate.
-Gemista: rice with sauce and stewed garden vegetables.
-Pastitsio: soufflé filled with meat marinated in bechamel sauce.
-Mousaka: the typical Greek dish. An aubergine lasagne filled with mince, seasoned with herbs and spices, covered with homemade tomato sauce and bechamel; sprinkled with cheese and cooked in the oven.
-Choriatiki: traditional salad, ideal as a starter or side dish, made of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, courgette and onion, always rounded off with a few chunks of feta cheese in oil olive.
-Stifado: classic stew that requires time and some good fried vegetables. It is generally made of rabbit and accompanied with potato and carrot.
Other specialities include souvlaki, meat kebabs and fish, which you will find everywhere. Ideally eat fish charcoal-grilled, to preserve all its flavour, with just a little olive oil.
