BY BICYCLE The route from the hotel to the old port of Sancti Petri and back, is 11 km long and goes along an asphalted cycle path. The route goes parallel to the Barrosa beach. When you come to the end of the beach follow the signs for the Puerto Deportivo (marina). Points of interest: a relaxed walk along the coast. There are lookout points on the cliffs between Barrosa beach and Sancti Petri Port with outstanding views on Sancti Petri Castle on an island near the beach.
From the hotel it is 15 km-trip to Roche and 30 km to Conil, way there and back again to the hotel. Approximate time: 2 hours to Roche and 4 hours to Conil. The path to Roche goes along the coast and you can take in the magnificent views of the ocean and coves along the way. Carry on to Conil and, once there, take a walk around the centre and along the beach. Points of interest: the variety of different species and ecosystems that can be seen. Panoramic views and peacefulness you can enjoy during almost the entire trip. Go down to one of the coves, and in Conil visit the old town and the beach of fine, golden sand.
BY CAR Tour through the White Villages. Approximate time: one day. Medina Sidonia - Arcos de la Frontera - El Bosque - Grazalema - Ubrique - Alcalá de los Gazules - Vejer. Points of interest: The central square in Medina Sidonia and also the factories that produce traditional sweets eaten at Christmas (alfajores and polvorones made of flour, almonds, wine and spices). In Arcos visit Santa Maria Tower, a vantage point where you can enjoy some marvellous moments. El Bosque and Grazalema stand out for their peacefulness and quietness, the white façades of the houses and the typical Andalusian tapas bars, but especially for the beautiful countryside by which it is surrounded. Impossible going Ubrique without visiting its factories and internationally famous leather shops. Finally, in Vejer, visit the old quarter and the viewing point.

Cádiz is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Its old quarter has a lot of charme. There is a total amount of 134 towers in the city and from one of them, Tavira Tower, enjoy an astounding view of the entire city. In Cadiz, there are a lot of shops, tapas bars and also a beach. An entire day will not be boring.
You can also visit El Puerto de Santa María by boat leaving from Cadiz.
Jerez is famous for its Gonzalez and Byass wineries, flamenco, the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and Formula One (the track is near Arcos). An entire day in this city will not be boring. By car, it is one hour from the hotel.
In 1.5 hours you can reach Seville, a city with a lot of history and interesting culture. It is worthwhile taking a stroll around the streets of this city.
BY BOAT Whale and dolphin watching.The boats leave from the ports in Algeciras, Tarifa and La Línea. Approximate duration: 2-3 hours (watching whales and dolphins) . Sailing boats: There are companies that offer day trips in sailing boats for small groups (approximately 4 - 8 people).
Small aeroplanes: In this region you can take a trip in a small aeroplane and see the Costa de la Luz from above. It is a very special and unforgettable experience.
BY FOOT Take a walk on Playa la Barraso, a beach, 14 kilometers long and lined with sand-dunes such as El Lagarto (the Lizard) and El Camaleón (the Chameleon). At the end of the route, next to the first strech of Barrosa beach you can enjoy astounding views of Sancti Petri Castle and precious sunsets.
We recommend having a meal in one in one of the area´s restaurants offering fresh sea-food an fish.
